UNVEILING OF THE MEMORIAL WALL

Who:   Dr. Jynona Norwood, who lost 27 loved ones including her beloved mother and cousin 3 month old Charles Garry Henderson in the Jonestown Massacre, will honor them at the 30th Year Annual Anniversary and Memorial Wall Unveiling Ceremony. Although Jynona was never a member of Peoples Temple she fought Jim and kidnap/rescued her son and went into hiding to save his life.
 
Dr. Norwood will also unveil a portion of the long awaited CHERISHING THE CHILDREN JONESTOWN MEMORIAL WALL at the 30th Annual Anniversary. Politicians, survivors and ministers will speak at this ceremony.
A youth group will pay special tribute to the 305 children who perished thirty years ago in the jungles of Guyana

Dr. Amos Brown, Housing Commissioner/Pres. SF NAACP
SFPD Yulanda Williams, Escaped Jonestown twice
Rev. Ed Norwood, who was rescued from People’s Temple
Charles Krause, was shot on the Port Kaituma Airstrip
Rev. Eugene Lumpkin, Treasurer for the Cherishing the Children Memorial Wall

Why:   To honor the lives of the 305 Children with a Memorial and raise public awareness on how these loving families were senselessly killed by Jim Jones.
